Spent the afternoon swimming in the hotel pool and the river at Oak Creek Canyon.
It is too hot in Sedona. 98 degrees today. Note to self: don't visit Sedona in the heat of summer. Saw a nice cloud and hoped for rain.
Nice dinner at Cucina Rustica. Sat at bar. Served by Ron "Palace" [not his real last name. spent 25 years in Las Vegas; now living incognito in Sedona under an assumed identity. Clearly under witness protection]. Another note to self - it is fun to sit at the counter.
A few notes:
I brought some habits with me on this trip. I am still doing the NYT Crossword and Spelling Bee daily.
Blogging is causing me to pay attention. To be present.
I have wanderlust. I am excited to get moving again tomorrow. Next destination: Santa Fe New Mexico.
Love,

Beth's two cents:
It is high practice to be together 24/7. Good thing I am a Buddhist. The sky is amazing here. All the locals are hoping for rain. They say it is monsoon season. Who knew.

Really enjoying your pictures and accounts of your trip. Taos is nice if you have time. Keep enjoying yourselves and take it all in.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to visit the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum but avoid the square which is extremely touristy. Also, as an Architect, I found the prevailing Adobe and Xeriscape to be somewhat numbing. Everything in moderation.
